I went to Brazil in mid March, and experienced once again the extraordinary energies of that amazing country. Every time I have gone there, I come away with something new, absorbing the colour and light and the strong and energetic flow of the people. This time was no exception. My favourite drawing has got to be the goddess tree, a knotted and knarled young tree, cut back many times but still sprouting new branches. She stood at the entrance to an enchanted valley, before a bridge over a stream, and gave or with held her blessings to enter the valley

The Atlantic rainforest of southern Brazil, its wild beaches and rough seas is so like south Kerry (without the trees and the heat)
